Ylva recently finished her Master’s degree in the lab of Professor Kai Matuschewski at Humboldt University. She has ample background in cell and molecular biology relating to both Plasmodium falciparum as well as P. berghei where she has used the CRISPR-Cas9 system to induced targeted gene knock-outs. Ylva will perform a research internship as part of the Transmission Team”
